Membership and Account Agreements and Disclosures
These Membership and Account Agreements and Disclosures (“Agreement”) is the contract which covers your and our rights and responsibilities concerning Membership and Account(s) offered to you. In this Agreement, the words "you" and "yours" mean those who sign the Account Application Card ("Member Services Signature Card") or approve an electronic application. The words "we," "us," and "our" mean the Summit Credit Union ("Credit Union"). The word "account" means any one or more deposit accounts you have with the Credit Union.
By signing or authenticating the Member Services Signature Card or completing and transmitting an online account authorization or service request that is a part of the Agreement, each of you, jointly and severally, agree to the terms and conditions in this Agreement, including the Funds Availability Policy, Electronic Services Agreement, Safe Deposit Box Terms, Privacy Policy, and the Truth-in-Savings Disclosure Supplement and Dividend Rate (Truth-in-Savings Disclosure) and Schedule of Fees, Charges, and Limits (Fees and Limits Schedule) accompanying this Agreement, any account receipt, the Credit Union's Bylaws and policies, and any amendments, which collectively govern your Membership and Accounts. You agree that additional accounts and services you request in the future will be governed by this Agreement, as amended from time to time.
Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means to you: when you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
